Rocket League player noly becomes newest Red Bull UK player, also joins OG

Noly Red Bull UK player

Professional UK Rocket League player, Joseph ‘noly’ Kidd, has been announced as Red Bull UK’s newest player.

He’s the first UK Rocket League Red Bull player, and joins the likes of Call of Duty Warzone streamer Jukeyz, who was signed to Red Bull three years ago. He’s also joined OG as the org moves into Rocket League (see separate section further down the article).

As a Red Bull player, noly will now be competing as a Red Bull Player at Rocket League tournaments throughout the year and representing the brand across Rocket League Championships, as well as supporting major Red Bull UK gaming projects throughout the year.

Noly said: “I’m so grateful and simply proud to be where I am today. Rocket League pro, living in the US and now signed with Red Bull. I know little me wouldn’t believe any of this.

“2024 will be big.”

Starting his professional Rocket League career in 2018, noly has already amassed an impressive history of victories, securing himself as one of the best pro RL players in the world.

The Liverpool native has the RLCS 2022-23 Fall Split Major Championship under his belt and three-time RLCS regional wins making him a key player and formidable opponent.

In November 2022, he won the North American RLCS Fall Invitational with Gen.G, and clinched first seed at the Rotterdam Major.

Noly was also previously signed to UK esports organisation Guild Esports back in 2020.

Noly joins an array of top gaming and sporting talent at Red Bull UK including England Test Cricket Captain, Ben Stokes, and fellow Liverpudlian Call of Duty: Warzone professional player Liam ‘Jukeyz’ James.

OG Esports Enters Rocket League with new RLCS 2024 roster featuring noly

European esports organisation OG Esports are expanding their operations with their entry into the competitive Rocket League circuit, with a powerhouse roster for 2024.

The line-up of Rocket League veterans (previously playing as Torment’s Minions) unite under the OG Esports banner ahead of the team’s debut later this month, when the 2024 Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2024 kicks off.

The full OG Esports Rocket League roster is:

  • Joseph “noly” Kidd (21, UK): Renowned for his tactical expertise and team-oriented play, noly is considered one of the most talented pros competing and was recently signed as an official Red Bull player.
  • Jacob “JKnaps” Knapman (24, Canada): Having secured over 60 Championship titles with his teams so far, JKnaps is posed to secure many more as a strong addition to the NA based squad.
  • Robert “comm” Kyser (20, US): Having secured a first place finish at his most recent showing at Gamers8 last year, the mechanical superstar rounds out the new roster
  • Kyle “torment” Storer, Head Coach (23, US): A Former RLCS World Champion and MVP, torment will lead the line-up in his first coaching role since retiring from play last year.

OG said the new roster ‘was built around noly, working hand-in-hand with OG Esports to build out a team with the potential to dominate the upcoming RLCS competitive season’.

Together the team have over a decade of experience and were chosen both for their in-game skills and chemistry, as well as their alignment with OG Esports’ values.

Founded by industry legend Johan “N0tail” Sundstein in 2015, OG Esports are a well-known esports brand. Initially famed for their Dota 2 achievements as the first team to ever win successive titles at The International, the organisation has expanded to include new rosters, including in Counter-Strike, and now Rocket League.

“I think that’s everyone’s dream right? To have people put their full trust in you to build success, it fills me with confidence for sure,,” commented Joseph “noly” Kidd.

“I think all of us know what it means to represent OG, it’s high expectations but I have no doubt we will do it right. I think Worlds is on everybody’s mind, a couple of regionals and a Major or two wouldn’t hurt though.”

“The time has finally come for us to venture into another esport classic. It’s been a long time coming, but I’m super excited about getting into another competitive scene, and to work with amazing talent to achieve our best selves,” added Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, Founder of OG Esports.

The new Rocket League roster will be championed by long-standing OG Esports partners Red Bull, which has been with the organisation for over seven years, as well as Steel Series, which began their support in 2019, and SecretLab, which began its partnership in 2020.
