Legacy Deliver At 4/1 To Win FISSURE Playground 3

Legacy: winners of FISSURE Playground 3

Legacy followed up their two CS Asia Championships titles and third-place finish at the Esports World Cup to win FISSURE Playground 3. The bookies had the team at 4/1 to take the title, which they sealed with a clean sweep of G2 Esports in the final on Sunday.

Legacy celebrated the victory on social media, posting a message in Portuguese and Chinese as the team triumphed in Suzhou. All three of their major titles have now come out in China.

Prior to the tournament, FURIA were the favourites to defend their title at odds of around 9/4. While recommending beaten finalists G2 Esports at 7/2, we also flagged up Legacy as solid value in our predictions.

Latto MVP in career best performance

Bruno ‘latto’ Rebelatto maintained his incredible speed and clutching ability to claim the MVP of the final. He ended with 69 kills to just 34 deaths.

The 23 year-old said it was the best performance of his career and cited the support from the Chinese fans as a motivator.

” I think the crowd cheering for us is so exciting,” latto said. “Having everybody cheering for us is very good. I don’t know; it’s China magic, I think. It’s really different. We play very well here.”

China also announced that the second Counter-Strike Major of 2027 will take place in the country, which could bode well for Legacy.

New member tries hard to make impression

Legacy new boy Santino ‘try’ Rigal got his first win as part of the roster. Hailing from Argentina, he is the only non-Brazilian on the team.

Latto said he contributed to the victory, adding, “He’s so consistent in his job in the game. This has helped us become a more consistent team, and that’s the key.”

The team now sits in eighth place in the world rankings. Legacy will now be eyeing a fourth title in Asia next month as they compete in the PGL Major Singapore.

G2 fall short again as drought continues

Swept 3-0 in the final, G2 remain trophyless since BLAST London last year. There were some promising moments, with captain Nemanja ‘huNter’ Kovač getting some notable kills, but it was not enough.

Neither team will compete in StarLadder this week in Barcelona where Team Vitality is the bookies’ favourite to take the title at odds of around 2/1.
