High-stakes cash games have returned to CoinPoker’s VIP Arena during the operator’s ongoing $50 million Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC), including a pot worth more than $1 million.
The activity comes as CoinPoker’s GOPC continues following its opening events, with the tournament series running until September 28.
A player using the name BTCdemon was spotted at $1,000/$2,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tables on August 25, initially playing Barak ‘iWasOnly17’ Wisbrod before Chris ‘Lukabrate’ Nguyen, Hazeslip, Trance and Firefox joined the game.
One hand involving BTCdemon and Lukabrate produced a pot worth around $1.1 million. Lukabrate held pocket Kings in a pre-flop all-in, but lost after BTCdemon made three Queens on the river.
Bleznick and PencilArms return to CoinPoker tables
Jared Bleznick has also been playing in CoinPoker’s VIP Arena, facing PencilArms at both $500/$1,000 and $200/$400 PLO.
Poker commentator Emil highlighted the pair playing at $200/$400 on August 24. Bleznick and PencilArms were involved in similarly high-stakes games on CoinPoker around the same time in 2025.
CoinPoker subsequently referenced the timing itself, pointing back to some of the large cash-game stacks recorded on the platform last year.
Bleznick reportedly built a stack of around $1.5 million during those sessions. Commenting on the latest games, Emil wrote: “I remember these games. Sick is probably the only word describing those stakes.”
CoinPoker and PokerGO launch High Stakes Poker promotion
The cash-game activity coincides with CoinPoker’s involvement with PokerGO. Esports News UK previously reported that CoinPoker is the presenting sponsor of PokerGO’s seven-day High Stakes Poker live run, taking place in Las Vegas from August 25 to 31.
The companies have now announced a separate promotion offering a route to a High Stakes Poker seat.
Players using the POKERGO sign-up code can compete in weekly qualifiers from September 6 to October 25, with eight weekly winners advancing to a final draw on October 31.
According to the promotion announcement, the main prize includes a $100,000 High Stakes Poker buy-in, $10,000 towards travel and accommodation on the Las Vegas Strip.
The promotion adds another PokerGO tie-in during the GOPC, while CoinPoker’s highest-stakes cash tables have provided a separate run of large pots alongside the tournament schedule.
