The UK will host a Halo Major LAN in 2024, the very first Halo Infinite Major to take place in Europe, and the tickets, dates and location info has been revealed.
It will get underway May 31st to June 2nd 2024, with the specific venue now confirmed as Twickenham Stadium, and it will be hosted by UK esports organisation Quadrant. See more info on tickets at the bottom of this article.
Quadrant, the esports organisation set up British F1 star Lando Norris more than three years ago, helped fund and eventually won the Europa Halo LAN in Blackpool back in November 2023.
The Halo Major LAN in London will be one of four majors featuring Microsoft’s long-running first-person shooter series this year. The others will take place in Arlington (March 15th to 17th), Atlanta (July) and Salt Lake City (September 6th to 8th).
Then, the Halo Championship Series (HCS) will conclude in 2024 for the Halo World Championship in Seatlle from October 4th to 6th.
The Official HCS team said in this HCS 2024 roadmap article on the Halo Waypoint website: “As you can see, we’re spreading the love further than Year 2 with the first Halo Infinite Major in Europe, hosted by Quadrant. We cannot wait to see you all there!
“As always, there will be online events and qualifiers for each of the four regions.
“For Year 3, every event before the Halo World Championship is a Major. This means there will be an open bracket and any team can sign up and compete. Ultimately, we felt leaning into competitive Halo’s roots where the entire community was brought under one roof was best for the league.”
The HCS will deliver more than $2m in prizing in 2024, with Majors featuring a $250,000 pool, the World Championship $1m and online tournaments $66,000.
