American lifestyle brand Zippo has announced its official sponsorship of the Chicago Huntsmen Call of Duty League team.
The Zippo x NRG Chicago Huntsmen collaboration will feature on the new range of Zippo HeatBank 9s Rechargeable Hand Warmers. As well as releasing the new collection of HeatBank 9s’, Zippo and NRG are also planning an official merch drop later in the season.
The HeatBank 9s promises to offer up to nine hours of warmth, doubling up as a portable charger.
This isn’t the first time Zippo has teamed up with NRG. The brand revealed its partnership with NRG’s Apex Legends players in November 2019.
Brett Lautenbach, president at NRG, said: “We’re super excited to continue our relationship with Zippo. We saw great success working with them on NRG and look forward to introducing them to the Huntsmen and CDL fanbase.”
Chicago Huntsmen are currently the team to beat in the all-new Call of Duty League. The squad remained unbeaten at the CDL’s launch weekend and took first place at the London Royal Ravens’ Home Series on February 9th.
The Huntsmen will now be equipped with Zippo’s Rechargeable HeatBanks as they continue the 2020 season.
William Kolasa, Senior Director of Integrated Marketing Communications at Zippo, said: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with NRG in 2020 and take Zippo’s commitment to esports to the next level by building on the excitement, exclusive content and success we had in our recent pairing with NRG’s Apex Legends team.”
