Leeds-based esports organisation Radix are about to acquire Lotus Gaming, the League of Legends roster that recently qualified for the UK Masters.
Afro, the owner of Radix, told Esports News UK: “We’ve been looking at expanding to other games for a while now, and with the upcoming season of UK Masters now featuring League of Legends, we thought it would be a good chance to get into the UK LoL scene.
“We’ve had great success in UK Counter-Strike, and hope that working with our new team we can replicate it in LoL.”
The Lotus Gaming League of Legends team is run by manager Alex Bowley, coach Johan “Lee Joo Ho” Olsen and Karolis.
They were previously a part of ASN eSports.

An official announcement is expected later today.
Lotus Gaming generated publicity this week after top-laner Kirito said the UK LoL scene is the ‘easiest ever’ and that the UK Masters will be ‘free money’.
The news comes after NerdRage acquired Arctic Storm – the other LoL team that qualified for the UK Masters. They have several members from Team XENEX who came second in the ESL Premiership spring 2017 split.
We’ll be interviewing Bowley and Kirito this Saturday on the ENUK Twitch channel at 5pm – join us live!
