GiantX 2024 VCT Game Changers roster announced

UK and Spanish esports organisation GiantX have announced their 2024 VCT Game Changers roster ahead of the EMEA Stage 1 2024 tournament.

The women’s team will consist of six top professional players.

The GiantX 2024 VCT Game Changers roster

  • Yağmur ‘Smurfette’ Gündüz (Turkey) is a duelist. Joining from FUT, having previously competed in the World Championships.
  • Neslişah ‘Ness’ Demir (Turkey) acts as a sentinel. She shares achievements with Smurfette, both competing at Guild and FUT, and now together again at GIANTX.
  • Tina ‘Joliinaa’ Agéli (Sweden) is a smoker and comes from Acend, achieving notable success in the region.
  • Eylül ‘Miyori’ Sudem Sarıoğlu (Turkey) is a flex player and joins from powerhouse NaVi.
  • Sarah ‘Sarah’ Ahmed (UK), also a flex player, comes from G2 Gozen following a successful run in the World Cup previously.
  • Antonio ‘Aska’ Lozano (Spain) has a long history as a coach of globally recognised teams including KOI and UCAM.
  • Lidia ‘Didii’ del Moral will join as the substitute. Joining from Rebels Velvet, Didii has excelled in recent VCT Game Changers

The team will be led by globally recognised coach Antonio ‘Aska’ Lozano and will debut today (Friday February 16th 2024) against Turkish powerhouse BBL Queens at 5pm CET.

The GiantX roster recently qualified for VCT 2024 Game Changers EMEA Stage 1 in the closed qualifier competing as ‘scoobydoomix’.

For the upcoming season, the GiantX 2024 VCT Game Changers team will be supported by British telecommunications and internet operator EE.

Launched in 2021 ‘to create new opportunities and enhance exposure for women and marginalised genders’, VCT Game Changers has grown to feature teams from several well-known orgs including Karmine Corp GC, Mad Lions Koi, Falcons Vega, G2 Gozen and more.

This year’s tournament will feature GiantX battling it out against some of the world’s elite teams, including G2 Gozen, BBL Queens, Neon Blade, NASR Ignite, Valiant GC, Team Falcons Vega, Mad Lions Koi, Karmine Corp and Fokus Sakura.

In addition to competing at 2024 VCT Game Changers, GiantX also competes in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) and in the League of Legends Superliga, the professional gaming league in Spain.

Late last year, Shopify Rebellion won the VCT Game Changers Championship, the main event in women’s Valorant.
