StreetSmash Manchester (SSM Team) has announced the return of the North West’s Super Smash Bros Ultimate Major: Grand Conquest 2024.
Previously known Manchester Grand Conquest, it’s been renamed to Grand Conquest for its 2024 edition.
The event is set take place across two days on March 2nd and March 3rd 2024, hosted in The Union at Manchester Metropolitan University with a total attendee cap of 300 people.
The prize pool is £4,070.
The event offers a Singles bracket with a cap of 256 people, a Doubles bracket with a max of 32 teams, and the second edition of their Chaos Bracket with a cap of 48 people. In this, the game could be anything from Smash Ultimate to Shadow the Hedgehog and Super Monkey Ball.
Top competitors from all over the UK have already signed up including Bloom4Eva (who won Invasion earlier in 2023), Luugi and MazeBeans.
Top talent from mainland Europe have also signed up, including Supahsemmie (Ranked #14 in Europe) and Space (Ranked #6 in Europe) from the Netherlands, as well as Flow (#17 in Europe) and TriM (#25 in Europe) from France.
Early Bird competitor tickets have already sold out, with regular competitor tickets available for £40 until February 8th 2024, and a late competitor ticket available for £50 until February 21st 2024.
Spectator tickets are also available at £15 for a single day or £25 for a full weekend ticket.
The event is set to be streamed across three different Twitch channels, with a Quad Stream included.
