UK/Lithuanian Valorant player Dom ‘Soulcas’ Sulcas has joined the Apeks 2024 Valorant roster, as the org brings a new team together.

He joins with Polish players kaajak and MOLSI, Lithuanian player hype and Danish player AvovA, in a team that Apeks are describing as their ‘Valorant 2.0’ roster.

Also, assistant coach Dannyto has been promoted to head coach, Desmo has joined as assistant coach and Leonieahh as team manager working with the Apeks 2024 Valorant roster.

Soulcas said he was ‘super excited to embark on a new journey with the squad’.

“It’s the next journey for me ever since the start of Valorant and I’m so eager to get back to playing officials again,” Soulcas said in the tweet below. There’s already such a homely vibe with amazing likeminded teammates and staff. Yay!”

General manager Frederik said on the Apeks 2024 Valorant roster: “We always knew that the new Valorant team had some big shoes to fill.  And honestly, there were times where I felt that we faced an impossible task. But I’m incredibly excited and proud that we were able to rebuild a team of this caliber.”

Dannyto, Head Coach, commented: “It’s been a rough off-season with a lot of ups and downs. I am thankful to Apeks for believing in me and trusting me with this project. I’m sure we managed to build something beautiful and have the right combination of young and experienced players.

“The journey to VCT is long, but I cannot wait to start the grind. The upcoming 2024 will be an amazing year for the Apeks family. Can’t wait to show what we are capable of in the server.”

The Apeks 2024 Valorant roster announcement comes a few months after Soulcas departed Team Liquid some three years with the North American organisation.

Earlier this year, Soulcas won the VCT EMEA 2023 grand final with Team Liquid. He was also at the most recent Epic.LAN, Epic 40, playing Counter-Strike on a team with UK streamer OnScreen.

“All eyes remain fixed on Ascension, but this time we’re not slowing down until we win it. The off-season provided us with enough time to assemble a roster capable of competing at the highest level. Our focus was clear, we aimed to build a team that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with VCT teams.”

Apeks won back-to-back Valorant Challengers 2023 Northern Europe tournaments earlier this year to qualify for the Ascension tournament. They came close to winning that and reaching VCT EMEA for 2024, but were beaten by Gentle Mates in the final.

“For this year, our approach hasn’t changed,” Apeks added in an announcement post. “All eyes remain fixed on Ascension, but this time we’re not slowing down until we win it.”

“The off-season provided us with enough time to assemble a roster capable of competing at the highest level. Our focus was clear, we aimed to build a team that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with VCT teams.”

Apeks’ previous roster disbanded in early November, including French player Enzo and UK players Mistic and Keiko, who, ironically, are now with Soulcas’ old org – Team Liquid.
