Into the Breach

UK esports organisation Into the Breach have entered Escape from Tarkov Arena, the competitive PvPvE FPS shooter with tactical team modes.

EFT Arena ‘combines the hardcore mechanics of Escape from Tarkov and fast-paced gameplay of session matches’ and will make its esports debut at DreamHack Hannover this month from December 14th to 17th 2023.

Battlestate Games will host the first tournament for the new shooter on-site, with six teams competing for €100,000.

And Into the Breach have decided to move into Escape from Tarkov Arena, with their announcement tweet saying ‘See you soon’ with the German flag and a winking emoji, hinting that they will be at DreamHack Hannover for the tournament.

Virtus Pro have also announced a Tarkov roster – we’ve reached out to the game’s devs to ask for the full six-team line-up at DreamHack.

Other Into the Breach news: Savage Sam doesn’t hold back against TSM as two CS players extend contracts

Sam Macedonio, CEO and founder of Into the Breach, also recently spoke candidly about TSM, saying the NA org “tried and failed to poach” ITB CS players Rallen and CRUC1AL.

Both players have renewed their contracts with Into the Breach through 2024, with the line-up also including Misutaaa, Bymas and Tomiko. This comes after Thomas stepped back from ITB a few months ago.

Sam said: “After a string of mediocre results from their overpaid staff and players, what’s TSM’s solution? Take a few steps back, focus on sustainability, rebuilding their fan-base and infrastructure, creating a tournament winning team worthy of their heritage? Nope.

“How about set fire to more fucking money and bend over a smaller org in the process, tanking rep in the meantime. Joey and Rallen stuck to their guns, literally. Won’t be forgotten. We did you a favour TSM, now you can make a different, less costly scummy decision.

“Can’t wait for the next $10 Fiverr frag video when you announce the new roster. Best of luck in the open quals.”

Savage.
