Method secure world third in Dragonflight Vault of the Incarnates raid over Christmas period

Method Race World First Dragonflight

UK esports organisation Method have this evening finished third in the Race to World First in World of Warcraft’s inaugural Dragonflight raid.

They defeated Raszageth, the Storm-Eater, the final boss of the Vault of the Incarnates.

Method finished third behind Echo and Liquid, who secured the respective world first and world second on December 23rd.

Method killed Raszageth after 362 pulls, according to Raider.io, with Echo pulling the boss 263 times before downing it, and Liquid pulling 367 times.

Method were battling with BDGG for the world third, with BDGG getting the final boss down to 2.09% remaining health.

Method founder Sco said on Twitter: “LETS GO! Proud of the team for grinding through this one, insane to be part of the Twitch chat there watching – it almost felt as intense as being on the kill itself.

“Hope the guys can get a much needed break now but then we have some work to do heading towards next year, time to build in 2023.”

Sco, Method

Earlier this month, Method announced their Race to World First stream for Dragonflight Vault of the Incarnates.

Their founder Sco also stepped back from raiding for the first time, to focus more on management.

Raiding over Christmas presents unique challenge to Method and other guilds

This was an unusual Race to World First in particular, as it took place over the Christmas period, with many raiders missing out on family time to focus on the race.

Method officer Cayna explained:

In the most recent WoW Race to World First, the Sepulcher of the First Ones, Method finished second and Echo claimed first place.

Echo were formed by ex-Method raiders two years ago, after a scandal at Method saw the organisation reduced to bare bones. However, Sco rebuilt Method and continues to push on to reclaim a world first once again.

Will Method get a world first again in 2023? Time will tell.
