The esports rosters for Team Great Britain and Team Ireland have been announced for the Global Esports Games 2022 Istanbul, with qualifiers underway this weekend.
British Esports announced that Team Great Britain will compete in the Global Esports Federation tournament, with four teams competing across three titles.
The Global Esports Games 2022 is scheduled to take place in Istanbul, Turkey, featuring teams in Dota 2, eFootball, Street Fighter V and PUBG Mobile.
The Team Great Britain esports players are as follows:

British Esports have also confirmed Mark ‘WEL13R’ Weller as team manager once again.
The news comes after Team Great Britain achieved success at the Global Esports Games 2021 in Singapore, with Team Great Britain claiming Silver in the Dota 2 Women’s division.
Earlier this year, the UK Home Nations won 11 medals at the inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championships in Birmingham.
“I’m extremely excited for the upcoming Global Esports Games in Istanbul later this year.” said Mark Weller, team manager for Great Britain.
Then, looking at Team Ireland’s Dota 2 Open team, that includes:

Team Great Britain have started off well in Dota, having beaten Ireland this weekend on the British Esports Twitch channel.
British Esports are supporting Team Great Britain at the Global Esports Games as a member federation.
“We’re pleased to see a pathway being created for esports talent in the United Kingdom with a growing number of players in multiple games,” said Chester King, CEO at British Esports.
“The excitement surrounding the Commonwealth Esports Championships is still prevalent and ongoing discussions surrounding Commonwealth and Olympic involvement continue to show a real desire to bring esports into the mainstream.”
