The Amazon EU Masters Summer 2022 (aka European Masters) tournament is about to begin, featuring some of the best European League of Legends esports teams below the LEC.
We run through the key info you need to know about the tournament.
EU Masters Summer 2022 Dates
The play-ins group stage will get underway this week from August 24th and 25th 2022.
The play-ins knockout phase will take place on August 27th, then the main stage group phase will take place from August 29th to September 8th.
Quarter-finals will go live from September 15th to 18th, and the two semi-finals will run on September 21st and 22nd.
The EU Masters Summer 2022 grand final will take place on September 25th this year.
EU Masters Summer 2022 Format
UK caster Hiprain runs through the EUM format for Summer 2022 in the below video.
Each team in the play-ins group stage will play each team in their group twice, in a best-of-one match.
The top two teams from each group will then progress to the play-ins knockout stage, with first-place teams playing against second-place teams from other groups.
The playoffs will feature best-of-three matches, and the four winning teams will reach the EUM main stage, joining up with the 12 already-qualified teams to make 16.
The main stage will adopt a double round robin format, with the top two teams from each group reaching the knockout stage. Here, first-place teams will play second-place teams from other groups in a best-of-five. The winners of these will reach the semi-finals, which will also be best-of-fives (as will the grand final).
EU Masters Summer 2022 Casters and Broadcast Talent
EU Masters will once again feature a string of top talent from across Europe.
And the UK is well-represented, with Viperoon, Munchables, Jamada, brothers Nymaera, and Initialise (who recently made his LEC debut), Hiprain and Aux on board, plus Ireland’s Dagda and Oisin Molloy are joining the broadcast too.
From the UK and Nordics NLC we also have Archarom, Troubleinc, Duckling and Gulborg, who recently moved from the NLC to the French LFL.
There’s also Dino, Noa and Orchid on board.
Several of those mentioned in the line-up also have experience at higher levels of League of Legends esports, such as the LEC and also Worlds.
EU Masters Summer 2022 Teams (play-ins and main stage)
Last but not least, let’s not forget what we’re all here to see – some of Europe’s top teams from 11 regions play some League of Legends.
From the UK and Nordics of course, we have JD XL in the play-ins stage, and X7 and Dusty in the main event. JD XL, X7 and Dusty qualified for EUM Summer 2022 recently, and Dusty beat X7 in the NLC playoffs finals the other day.
At the Spring 2022 EUM, NLC teams X7 and Bifrost reached the last eight.

EU Masters Summer 2022 partners
The Amazon European Masters Summer 2022 is of course backed by Amazon as the main partner, but it also has OnePlus as its new presenting partner too.
Other partners include Prime Gaming, Kit Kat, Oversteel, Secret Lab, Razer and Warner Music Central Europe.
As part of the OnePlus partnership, the OnePlus logo will be integrated into the broadcast to present the top plays from each match.

Where to watch EU Masters Summer 2022
Matches will take place on the EU Masters Twitch channel and on lolesports.com. In the spring tournament, English broadcast play-ins matches also took place on the EUniverse stream – and they will once again for Summer 2022.
