The latest Belong Arena Clash tournaments in League of Legends, Valorant, Tekken and Overwatch are concluding this weekend at Insomnia68 at the Birmingham NEC.
These are separate to the Insomnia open tournaments and NSE student esports finals, and see regional Belong teams representing different parts of the UK as they look to become champions. Also, Belong announced a new esports title would be coming to the competition soon.
Here’s a quick look at each grand final result this weekend.
League of Legends – Leicester Raptors
The Raptors defeated the Stratford Spartans Heracles 2-0 in the grand final on Friday April 15th 2022.
Raptors roster of (top to support) Sprite, gegeokokea, samj1046, Albicoovlod and Pani Ewa beat Spartans’ Shieda, Catsyy, Zirvis, osmonkey and ichiroe. Raptors’ bot lane duo performed well as Miss Fortune and Nautilus in game one, going 14/4/6 and 1/4/22 respectively, then in game two mid-laner samj1046 dominated with a six-kill Yasuo.
Casting was by GreyHart and Saga.
Overwatch – Stratford Spartans
Stratford Spartans beat the Manchester Swarm 3-1 in the grand final of the Belong Arena Clash Overwatch final at Insomnia 68 on Friday April 15th 2022.
I (Dom) don’t have a ton of Overwatch knowledge so I won’t dare write loads of detail here, but caster Jace will hopefully be back with more insight later on!
Casting was by JacePT and Rhael.
Tekken – Bradford Rams
Bradford Rams defeated the Kingston Harriers to take the trophy away from London in what was a thrilling and well-fought grand final.
