Vexed Gaming acquires US organisation Mock-It Esports, returns to Halo with all-UK roster

Vexed Gaming Cooldown Ventures

UK-based esports organisation Vexed Gaming has today announced the acquisition of US-based organisation Mock-It Esports and all its assets for an undisclosed fee.

The move means that all of Mock-It’s operations and branding will cease to exist – and will instead be absorbed into the Vexed Gaming ecosystem.

As part of this acquisition, Vexed has also acquired and agreed terms with Mock-It’s competitive EU-based all-UK Halo Infinite roster, which will play under the Vexed banner for future tournaments.

Vexed Gaming’s new Halo roster will consist of:

  • Ryan ‘Batchford’ Batchelor
  • Josh ‘Squashy’ Greener
  • Stuart ‘Warlord’ Graham
  • Darren ‘Looney’ Pritchard
  • Coach: Saul ‘Organs’ Duff

“We are delighted to conclude this deal and secure a new strategic North American acquisition that will allow us to capitalise on the historic work done by the Mock-It team.”

Sonny Waheed, Vexed Gaming

Mark Weller, Vexed Gaming’s chief gaming officer, said: “It’s with great pleasure that we make our return to Halo, picking up in Infinite where we left off in Halo 5, as one of the leading British rosters in the European scene.

“I am very excited to work alongside this roster, offering the strong support structure we have built over the past six years at Vexed Gaming to allow the roster to thrive and go toe-to-toe with the American HCS scene.”

Sonny Waheed, CEO of Vexed Gaming, added: “We are delighted to conclude this deal and secure a new strategic North American acquisition that will allow us to capitalise on the historic work done by the Mock-It team. We look forward to welcoming Mock-It’s fans and giving them many years of exciting gameplay under the Vexed banner.

“We also can’t wait to reignite the community events that helped put Mock-It on the map and look forward to seeing you in Discord soon as we build a space for amazing underserved communities.”

Vexed is part of the UK Esports Team Committee, a collection of organisations aiming to push UK esports forwards.
