UK Tekken player Justin “KingJae” Nelson IS going to EVO Japan after all.
He was already planning to attend, but Esports News UK understands he was let down by a third-party at the last minute, who previously told him they’d be helping him fly out.
This setback looked like it would prevent KingJae from taking part in the Tekken 7 tournament in Japan.
However, a huge Twitch donation came in the other evening live on KingJae’s stream, enough to cover his costs to get to EVO Japan.
Twitch user OneAlpacas donated £1,800 to KingJae as he was preparing to play a match against popular YouTuber (and younger brother of KSI) ComedyShortsGamer.
KingJae reacted with shock and disbelief, as seen in the Twitch clip below:
Guess I will be going to EVO JAPAN afterall. Shout out to Onealapacas for the massive support!

ComedyShortsGamer can be heard joking after the donation, saying “we’re going to split it right?” before making one of his infectious trademark laughs.
Earlier this year, KingJae was unfairly banned from the Tekken 7 UK Championship for alleged collusion, despite concrete proof, along with his District G teammate C-Krizzle.
Since then, he’s got his head down, worked hard with his content and growing his brand as a gaming personality. It’s paying off for him.
KingJae will be taking part in a tournament at eDen esports bar in Leeds this Saturday (December 2nd).
Tomorrow we have the indomitable @ItsJustinNelson and @playdistrictg coming to show us how to actually be good at @TEKKEN, and in the near future we’ll be making another insane announcement about an eDen exclusive!
