Four UK teams left at Call of Duty World League Championship

Skrapz old pic

After a gruelling couple of days for our UK teams in Orlando for the Call of Duty World League Championships, only four remain in the Championship Bracket. Jacob Hale reports.
Splyce, Epsilon, Fnatic and surprise entrant Team Infused will be looking to get their share of the $1.5 million on offer over the weekend, with each team looking to improve on previous performances on the international stage.
Splyce will be facing Enigma6 in their first game of the day, and with the inconsistencies both teams have shown throughout the Infinite Warfare season, we may be in for an interesting match-up.
Epsilon come up against Team EnVyUs, who crushed them in their Global Pro League group and then came second at Stage 2 playoffs. EnVy look like the easy choice here, but Epsilon proved at CWL Anaheim that they can hang with the very best when the pressure is on.
Fnatic will be facing Team Allegiance, a team that surprised many by beating out Red Reserve to get the second seed spot in their group. Not many would predict anything but a Fnatic win here, especially with the improvements they have been making steadily over the year.
Team Infused are the final team to be involved in the Championship Bracket, after beating out Aussies Mindfreak and NA’s Lethal Gaming in a 3-way tiebreaker to determine seeding and placements. Infused will come up against Rise Nation, hot off a strong group play performance which included a dominant 3-0 sweep of Luminosity Gaming, a team many saw as potential Championship winners.
Commiserations are with Red Reserve, Elevate, eRa Eternity, Vitality and Millenium, who all missed out on bracket spots, with Red and Elevate both coming extremely close (including Elevate forfeiting their final map to miss out on the second seed spot).
Though each of these teams will leave with a little more cash in their pockets, the main thing all players will want is the coveted championship ring presented to each CoD Champs winner. Only 20 of these currently exist, and this weekend four of them will be handed out. Fingers crossed they can be handed to our UK players on Sunday evening.
