The next Pokémon Pocket expansion, Fantastical Parade, has been revealed with loads of new cards, including a new type: stadiums.
As predicted, the new Pokémon Pocket pack stars Generation 6 cards Mega Mawile and Mega Gardevoir, but isn’t X & Y-themed as suspected.
Instead, there is an eclectic mix from different games and generations, judging by what has been revealed so far.
It’s also surprising to see this expansion only features one pack instead of two, though the amount of new cards is still unkown.
What are Stadium cards in Pokémon Pocket?
Fantastical Parade is introducing Stadium cards to the mobile TCG from the physical version.
Stadiums are a fourth type of trainer card, in addition to Items, Supporters, and Tools.
However, Stadiums have a few unique rules, which are:
- A Stadium stays in play when you play it.
- Only one Stadium can be in play at a time—if a new one comes into play, discard the old one and end its effects.
- You can’t play a Stadium card if a Stadium with the same name is already in play.
- You can play only one Stadium card each turn.
Stadium cards have powerful affects which change the rules of the game for both players.
The first one revealed for Pokémon Pocket is Peculiar Plaza, which rules that the retreat cost of all psychic Pokémon is two less.

New Fantastical Parade Mega and ex cards revealed for Pokémon Pocket
There were a lot of teasers and clues for the new Pokémon Pocket cards, and it seems the puzzle solvers were correct.
The star of the Pokémon Pocket pack is Mega Gardevoir ex, a 210 HP with a two-energy attack which deals 110 damage.
And that attack has a very powerful effect, which takes three psychic energy and lets you distribute it to your psychic Pokémon any way you like.
And it only has a one energy retreat, so it’s easy to pivot.

Meanwhile, Mega Mawile ex has 170 HP and a two-energy attack which deals 60 damage plus a stacking 30 additional damage for each time the individual card has used the attack without leaving the active spot.
Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, tells us that other Ogerpon forms could be coming and expects there to be power creep with the amount of energy in a game.
Its ability cures status conditions of all your Pokémon with an energy attached.
And its two-grass energy attack deals 70 damage plus another 60 if both players’ active Pokémon have five or more energy combined.
The final ex show in the trailer is the 120 HP Mimikyu ex, which takes no damage the first time it is attacked since being played.
It could be a very good front line, especially with an attack that deals 70 damage for two energy.
New Supporters in Pokémon Pocket Fantastical Parade

Additionally, three new trainers were revealed in the Fantastical Parade trailer.
This clearly has great synergy with Mega Gardevior, the signature Pokémon Diantha used in X and Y.
Diantha is now the biggest healer in the game, healing 90 damage to a psychic Pokémon that has two or more energy. However, it also discards two energy.
Meanwhile Piers, a Gym Leader from Sword and Shield, is a new supporter that only works with the new Obstagoon card.
Galarian Obstagoon has 150 HP and a two-dark-energy attack which deals 70 plus another 50 if the target is already damaged.
If Obstagoon is in play, Pier removes two random energies from the opponent’s active Pokémon.
The final revealed Supporter is Sightseer, which looks at the top four cards and puts any Stage 1 Pokémon found into your hand.

Some other cards from the upcoming pack and future events have also been revealed.
But first we’re going to talk about Maushold and Metal Core Barrier, two cards shown at the end of the trailer that you may have missed.
Maushold has a one-energy colourless attack, which flips a coin for each Tandemaus and Maushold you have in play and deals 60 damage for each heads.
A new tool called Metal Core Barrier prevents 50 damage done to a steel type, but for one turn only before discarding itself.
Additionally, next month, there will be a promo event where players can get Mega Medicham EX.
The 180 HP Pokémon has a three-energy attack, requiring only one fighting, which isn’t affected by effects on the opponent’s active Pokémon and deals 100 damage.
If it has a psychic energy attached too, it does an additional 40 damage for 140 total.
Finally, Cinderace is also coming to the game in a new promo event, which deals 120 damage for two energy but can’t attack the following turn.
