Marvel Rivals Championship Season 6 Format
Due to the new promotion rules, a major chance for MRC Season 6 is that players competing in professional leagues cannot participate.
This year, for the first time ever, Marvel Rivals has partnered directly with esports teams and will receive shared revenue from in-game esports cosmetics.
Though various teams, including ENVY, have dropped out of Marvel Rivals esports for 2026.
Successful applicants from the Partner Teams Program will compete in Ignite with limited relegation protections.
Meanwhile, for MRC Season 6, registered teams will compete in best-of-one Open Qualifiers, of which the top 128 teams will automatically advance to Double-Eliminations.
Then, teams ranked 129th-512th will battle in further Closed Qualifiers, where another 128 teams will advance.
To claim Open and Closed Qualifiers rewards, each team will have to play at least six matches in each stage.
The remaining 256 teams in the Double-Elimination Stage will compete in best-of-threes from Round 1 to Round 9, then best-of-fives through to the Lower Bracket Final.
The tournament will then finish with a best-of-seven Grand Final.
