Los Ratones players reveal how the team was created

Los Ratones, the team created by Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, are about to make their highly anticipated debut in the LEC.

Los Ratones received an LEC Versus invite after a fantastic 2025, winning three NLC and two EMEA Master trophies.

Now, the players have revealed how the star-studded roster came together.

It turns out that Tim ‘Nemesis’ Lipovšek is the hub for the team both on and off Summoner’s Rift.

From what he said in a recent LEC promotional video, the midlaner appeared to have a lot of say in the roster.

Rookie jungler Veljko ‘Velja’ Čamdžić is about to make his LEC debut and can apparently thank Nemesis for that:

“I recommended Velja, from solo queue and playing some tournaments with him,” Nemesis revealed.

Velja was immediately excited when Caedrel messaged him, but had to wait for a couple of months until it was confirmed.

Afterwards, Nemesis also seemingly put together Los Ratones’ monstrous bot lane, having previously played with both Juš ‘Crownie’ Marušič and Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson.

“Crownie is a player I’ve played with back in Mad Lions, and I’ve known him for half my life already.

“And then one day I just woke up, and we were looking for supports, so I was like, ‘I wonder what Rekkles is doing?’ Caedrel was like, okay, I’m gonna message Rekkles.”

Having spent a year in South Korea with T1 Esports Academy, Rekkles wanted to be closer to home in Sweden, so this was the perfect timing.

Meanwhile, coaching content creator Simon ‘Baus’ Hofverberg seems to have been Caedrel’s idea.

Due to his streaming commitments, there were doubts he would stay. But Baus then confirmed he’ll remain with Los Ratones for LEC Versus.

And his fellow Swede Rekkles is delighted about that, saying: “Baus to me, is Los Ratones.”

Los Ratones’ LEC Versus debut

With roster changes and two additional teams, it’s hard to predict how teams will perform in LEC Versus Week 1.

Los Ratones have a relatively challenging start to the year with their first three games.

Though all of their games are going to be very challenging, as the LEC is a big step up from EMEA Masters.

Los Ratones will be welcomed to the LEC by two expected title contenders, Fnatic and Karmine Corp.

Both opponents have made huge signings in Vladimiros ‘Vladi’ Kourtidis and Alan ‘Busio’ Cwalina, respectively.

The other match is against fellow ERL team, Karmine Corp Blue.

Theoretically, this should be Los Ratones’ easiest match-up, but that makes the meeting a must-win match for both sides.

And KCorp Blue have the advantage after demolishing Los Ratones 3-0 at the last EMEA Masters.
