Caedrel gives update on Los Ratones LEC scrims and content plans

British Twitch streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont has given an update on how Los Ratones are coping with LEC scrims.

Los Ratones will compete in LEC Versus against EMEA’s top teams after receiving an invite from Riot Games.

The team dominated EMEA’s second tier of League of Legends competition in 2025, winning multiple NLC and EMEA Masters trophies.

Despite having multiple former LEC champions and players, Los Ratones are massive underdogs heading into the season.

Yet, after scrim results, Caedrel believes his team are good enough to hold their own.

“We’ve been playing scrims for two and a half weeks straight, and it’s been going pretty good, towards the end,” Caedrel revealed.

“We’re kind of cooking. And I’m not just saying that, I’m sure when the season ends we’ll show our scrim results, and you’ll look back on this message and be like, actually, he was right, they were cooking.”

Like Caedrel’s hair after he shaved it off at the League Awards, it sounds like Los Ratones are slowly growing back to their former selves.

The streamer revealed that one good result has given the team a much-needed confidence boost:

“Scrims at the beginning were slow to start. Then we scrimmed against a pretty good team, and we beat them. And from that point onwards, we’ve been doing pretty good actually, really back and forth, I would say.”

However, Caedrel admitted that good scrim results don’t guarantee good results:

“Preseason scrims are kinda useless… I think the preseason scrims in Winter specifically are the most useless to measure off.

“I can tell you from my experience as an LEC player, I’ve had offseasons, in Excel for example, where in the offseason in December we had like a 70% win rate in scrims, then we rock up on stage and go 0-4.”

Still, he says he’ll likely publish Los Ratones’ scrim results once the Winter Split has finished.

Caedrel teases Los Ratones’ LEC content plans

Los Ratones’ popularity was built upon streams showing every scrim and competitive match, with fans getting to witness complete in-game voice comms.

It helped make Caedrel the second-most watched Twitch streamer in 2025, behind only Kai Cenat, with over 106 million hours watched.

It made him by far the most-watched UK streamer on the platform, with I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here winner AngryGinge coming in second at 14.63m hours watched.

However, Caedrel has revealed that Los Ratones will not be streaming scrims for the upcoming LEC Versus event.

“We kind of need to go behind closed doors now. If we scrim on stream, we’re going to stand no chance against LEC teams, Caedrel explained.

“We only have one split, so we want to put up our best showing. I think it’ll be very depressing if we’re scrimming on stream every day, then rock up to LEC and just 0-12 and get gapped,” he explained.

Instead, he says Los Ratones will be posting a lot of pre-recorded content, including vlogs and small podcasts.

Caedrel revealed the focus will be on behind-the-scenes content as the entire team will be together in-person from January.

When asked what Los Ratones plan to do after LEC Versus and if they’ll return to the NLC, all Caedrel said was: “It’s still TBD.”

Previously, Caedrel insisted that Los Ratones are leaving the NLC and won’t play in ERLs anymore.
