EA FC esports star Anders Vejrgang joins new Como Gaming Club

Italian football club Como 1907 has entered the world of esports and recruited EA FC star Anders Vejrgang to lead their challenge.

The Como Gaming Club aims to serve as a creative space and will host community sessions and collaborate with creators and partners.

Why has the Como Gaming Club been formed?

In a statement on their website, Como said they hope to connect with new generations of fans and that the project is not just a “side quest”.

They also spoke about the importance of the arrival of Danish EA FC player Anders Vejrgang at Como.

Ryan Shelton, chief revenue officer, said: “The launch of the Como Gaming Club is a natural next step in our mission to connect Como 1907 with new generations and emerging cultural spaces.

“Gaming and eSports are their own culture and language, and if we were going to enter that world, we knew we had to do so with intention, a clear identity and a long-term vision.

“Bringing Anders on board speaks to the level of thought, care, and seriousness we’re putting behind this project. This isn’t a side quest. It’s a community we’re committed to building.”

Como also confirmed that Vejrgang will represent the club at the upcoming EA FC eSupercup 2025 and the eSerie A Goleador 2026.

Back in August, Vejrgang signed with Team Falcons, and he is currently ranked No.2 on the FC Pro World Rankings.

Anders Vejrgang’s EA FC history

Vejrgang is an established competitor on the EA FC esports scene and has enjoyed some big success in his career.

The 19-year-old enjoyed the biggest highlight of his career by winning the FC Pro 24 World Championship last year.

He also successfully defended his FC Pro Open title in February 2025, after a dramatic 5-4 win over Francesco ‘Obrun2002’ Tagliafierro.

However, he fell just short of success with RBLZ Gaming at the 2025 eChampions League, losing 2-1 to Emre Yilmaz in the final.

Vejrgang is currently competing in the FC Pro Open 26 tournament under Team Falcons. He holds a 5-0 record in the group stage and is looking to win the title for the third year in a row.

The Danish EA FC player was already notorious in the FIFA/EA FC scene before he became a pro player.

Aged 14, he recorded an almost unbelievable 535-game FUT Champions win streak. It was a level of domination he showed in the 2024 World Championship final, where he won 7-0 to win the $250,000 (£188,000 prize.
