Valorant Community Awards announced by TenZ to celebrate VCT and GC

Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo, iconic former pro player and streamer, has announced the new Valorant Community Awards.

The Inaugural 2025 Show will be a live ceremony celebrating and spotlighting the VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) and Game Changers (Valorant Women’s Circuit).

The Valorant Community Awards: A new esports award show dedicated to the VCT and GC circuits

Described by TenZ as “a live ceremony celebrating the best of VCT and Game Changers,” the Valorant Community Awards will focus on recognising talent in the highest tiers of Valorant competition.

Notably, the awards are not open for public vote. Instead, TenZ states that the awards are “voted by the teams themselves.”

Meanwhile, the categories will be announced in the coming weeks. So far, the only confirmed category is the Red Bull Clutch of the Year, which will host stiff competition.

Hopefully, some of the most memorable VCT 2025 moments will find recognition in the awards’ categories.

For example, the VCT Paris Grand Final, which saw NRG become the Championship winners, also featured Fnatic completing a historic 1-11 comeback map win. The Valorant Community Awards will hopefully cement extraordinary moments like Fnatic’s comeback in the history books.

When and where will the Valorant Community Awards take place?

The Valorant Community Awards will be held in Los Angeles, California. The city is a hub for North American esports, with significant organisations such as 100 Thieves basing their operations there.

Most likely, the ceremony itself will be invite-only. However, it will be livestreamed on December 15th at 21:00 PT (05:00 GMT, December 16th).

TenZ confirmed in his announcement post for the event that both Riot Games and Red Bull Gaming are supporting the awards show.

A building trend – TenZ follows in the footsteps of Caedrel and Sjokz

The Valorant Community Awards will take place a little over two weeks after the League Awards, another community-led esports award ceremony.

Title-specific esports award ceremonies are gaining traction.

The League Awards are now in their second year. Founded by the legendary broadcaster Eefje ‘sjokz’ Depoortere and content creation icon Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, the League of Legends-specific awards show is community and fan-nominated, covering 15 categories.

Nominations for The League Awards 2025 have already been announced, with Faker, Chovy, and Chronicler amongst this year’s nominee cohort.

Now, TenZ will hope to replicate the success of The League Awards within his own esports ecosystem.

Rounding out a thrilling 2025 competitive circuit across VCT and Game Changers, the Valorant Awards will have many achievements to celebrate.
