Mega Evolution for Zeraora revealed for Pokémon Legends Z-A

The Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC will introduce Zeraora to the game and a Mega Evolution for the mon.

The Nintendo Switch 2 title has seen various new Mega Evolutions created, including Mega Dragonite and Mega Victreebell.

However, some new Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends Z-A are locked behind a paywall, requiring ranked online play or the new DLC.

The new Mega Zeraora sees the electric Pokémon become less yellow with more blue and black in its colour scheme.

It also gets spikes on its head and hands, as well as two tails in its new form.

Considering Megas always increase a Pokémon’s stats by 100, Mega Zeraora will have a monstrous Base Stat Total (BST) of 700.

According to the official Pokémon website, Mega Zeraora will remain solely an electric type with no secondary typing.

The official description of the Mega Dimension DLC Pokémon says:

“It’s thought that Mega Evolution removes the internal limiter containing the electric energy stored within Zeraora’s body.

“This allows it to unleash powerful attacks that can take down multiple nearby opponents at once.”

Attacks that hit multiple players will be very strong in Pokémon Legends Z-A’s free-for-all ranked battles.

However, according to the Pokémon website, it won’t be easy to get Zeraora or possibly its Mega Stone.

While some Mega Evolution forms are locked behind ranked battles, like Mega Greninja and Mega Baxcalibur, Zeraora will be available in the DLC’s story.

The Pokémon Company say to keep your eyes peeled for a way to encounter Zeraora in the Mega Dimension DLC and that it will be “difficult.”

This perhaps suggests a random encounter in which players will have to act fast.

What is the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends Z-A?

The upcoming Mega Dimension DLC will add additional story content to Pokémon Legends Z-A.

Players will travel through portals created by a Hoopa to enter ‘Hyperspace Lumiose City’.

Feeding different doughnuts to the Hoopa, who belongs to the new NPC Ansha, will unlock different portals.

There, Pokémon Legends Z-A players will meet powerful Pokémon which exceed the level 100 cap.

And, of course, there will be lots of new Pokémon to catch with an expanded Pokédex from Legends Z-A’s base 230 mons.

Additionally, other new Mega Evolutions have already been revealed for the Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC too.

The DLC will release on December 10th, 2025, with one more trailer coming out on December 2nd with another possible Mega Evolution reveal.

Mega Dimension can be pre-ordered on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 now for £24.99 in the UK.
