IEM Chengdu 2025 teams confirmed for November

After the sun set on IEM Cologne, Counter Strike fans are looking to the next Intel Extreme Masters tournament. IEM Chengdu 2025 teams have now been confirmed, and the sun will rise again on IEM in November.

With an all-star lineup, as always, which teams will rise to the top in China?

All IEM Chengdu 2025 teams locked in ahead of Chinese LAN

At the time of writing, the confirmed IEM Chengdu 2025 teams are as follows:

The roster submission deadline is October 20th, 2025. Although roster changes can be made up to this deadline, teams must maintain a majority roster from the original VRS (Valve Regional Standings) invite date to maintain eligibility.

Which teams are most likely to take the title?

The MongolZ will be a popular team to watch at the IEM Chengdu. Following their win at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Mongolian Counter Strike viewership is on a high, demonstrating the strong support the roster receives from its home nation.

However, they will face stiff competition. Despite not winning a tournament since the June BLAST Austin Major, Team Vitality still have an incredibly strong roster. Three of the four IEM trophies so far in 2025 lie in their hands. As a result, they will still be one of the favourites to win the tournament on Counter Strike betting sites. 

Meanwhile, Team Spirit will seek a comeback after their disappointing Esports World Cup performance. They finished in the bottom eight teams, despite heading to the tournament fresh from their IEM Cologne win. 

Team Falcons will also continue to seek redemption. The Saudi Arabian team has struggled in the 2025 season so far, suffering early exits in several significant tournaments. 

Even their home crowd at the Esports World Cup was not enough for them to push past lower VRS-ranked Aurora to win a spot in the Grand Final. IEM Chengdu gives them their next chance to show that the team has a future dominating the top teams in Counter Strike. 

Although Team Falcons will not have to face Aurora Gaming, who are not one of the IEM Chengdu 2025 teams confirmed, they will have to stare down the prospect of battling FURIA. 

During IEM Cologne, FURIA was the final nail in Team Falcons’ coffin, defeating them in the Group Stage and eliminating them from the competition. 

When is IEM Chengdu?

Given the calibre of the IEM Chengdu 2025 teams, fans are set to enjoy a thrilling tournament. 

IEM Chengdu will start on November 3rd with the Group Stage. Playoff matches are expected to take place on the Chengdu stage in the final days of the tournament, which concludes on November 9th.
