Los Ratones part ways with analyst Molecule before LEC Versus

Los Ratones have announced that British League of Legends analyst ‘Molecule’ is parting ways with them before LEC Versus.

Los Ratones will compete in the LEC Winter Split next year as part of the new LEC Versus event.

However, the team created by British Twitch streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont will now be looking for more backroom staff.

Molecule helped Los Ratones to three NLC titles and two EMEA Masters championships after a superb debut year for the organisation.

However, the analyst who lives in Taiwan has announced he’s looking to take fewer commitments next year.

Taking to social media, Molecule expressed his gratitude for his time with the team:

“As you can tell, I won’t be with LR for the Winter Split next year.

“This was truly an incredible year and the project surpassed anything I could imagine, being part of it was a really big deal to me.”

Molecule then explained that he had spread himself thin while helping the NLC team:

“This year, I had very few breaks and juggling LEC, all 3 internationals, LR + IRL stuff, it got a bit too chaotic at times and definitely affected me whilst striking the balance to each commitment.

“So I wanted to come into the new year with fewer commitments (especially evenings) and then add things when it feels right.”

Caedrel then also posted, revealing he was open to anyone applying for Los Ratone’s open analyst role for the LEC Winter Split 2026.

The streamer said this is the one final role Los Ratones’ coaching staff is looking to fill.

This means the team isn’t expanding its coaching staff for next year.

Caedrel acts as the team’s head coach with former LEC toplaner Andrei ‘Odoamne’ Pascu as his assistant coach.

The only other staff member is general manager and Love is Blind winner Kieran Holmes-Darby.

Who is staying with Los Ratones for LEC Versus 2026?

Los Ratones are likely to keep their entire roster for LEC Versus 2026.

Though only two players are confirmed so far.

Support Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson confirmed he was starting his preparations for moving to Germany early.

Meanwhile, there were doubts whether toplaner Simon ‘Baus’ Hofverberg would join due to his streaming commitments.

However, Los Ratones have since confirmed that Baus will play in the LEC next year.

Caedrel has previously announced that none of Los Ratones’ players have buyout clauses in their contracts.

However, the remaining players likely won’t explore other options until after Los Ratones make their LEC debuts.

The future of the team is also up in the air as Caedrel confirmed Los Ratones won’t return to the NLC.
