The 2024 Mobile Gaming Awards (aka the Mobies) is taking place in London this summer, as the mobile industry awards return for a second year.
The event – founded by the team behind the Esports Awards and Matt ‘MobileMatt” Rutledge – was set up to document, recognise and reward excellence in the mobile industry.
Nominations for the Mobies 2024 are now open to the public for the first time. Gamers can cast their votes for their favourites until April 10th 2024, before the night of the ceremony commencing July 16th.
Organisers say last year’s Mobies ceremony in Los Angeles reached over 1.9m total viewers, and was broadcast across nine platforms, with more than 1.5m votes cast. It was held at the Infinite Reality Studio in sunny Los Angeles.
The Mobile Gaming Awards hosted some of the biggest faces and organisations from mobile gaming, esports and beyond, with the likes of Marvel Snap, Andrew ‘Judo’ Sloth, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang all picking up awards.
The event also featured a surprise award to S8ul Esports for Global Impact on Mobile Gaming–recognising an organisation going above and beyond to enhance the industry.
After the turnout in 2023, which featured hosts Daniel ‘dGon’ Gonzales, Elyse ‘Herculyse’ Herrera and Garrett ‘Shady’ Smith JR.
This year’s Mobies will continue to honour players, teams, media, hardware providers, games, events and personalities in the esports, gaming and mobile industries.
