UK esports organisation Guild Esports said they’re pleased to announce the signing of a top-ranked professional player, ‘Charyy_’ to their Fortnite esports roster.
16-year-old Polish player Charyy_ has established a name for himself in the Fortnite space, having won a total of over $58,100 in prize winnings from 26 tournaments in the past year.
He has signed a 12-month contract with Guild and made his debut under the UK org’s banner this past weekend on February 24th 2024 at the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS).
This is of course widely regarded as one of the most prestigious tournaments in the Fortnite competitive circuit, where he competed alongside fellow Guild player, Danish talent ‘PabloWingu’. Both finished in the top ten.
You can see the player’s announcement video on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) below.
In a financial news release issued this morning, Guild said that as they ‘continue to expand their roster with up-and-coming talent like Charyy_, the company is strategically positioning itself for long-term success at global esports events, presenting an opportunity to showcase its pipeline of professional players to new audiences on the international stage’.
Jasmine Skee, CEO of Guild Esports, commented: “We are delighted to bring Charyy_ onto our Fortnite roster, further strengthening Guild’s position in the competitive esports’ scene.
“Charyy_’s signing underscores our commitment to excellence and strategic growth as we continue to elevate our team to new heights and achieve competitive success across global esports tournaments.”
The news comes a few weeks after fellow UK esports organisation Man City Esports signed new Fortnite players and announced contract extensions.
