UK esports organisation CTRL Esports are kicking off the second CTRL Christmas Charity Valorant Tournament this week.

This event, put together with fellow esports org Next in Line (NiL) Esports, is intended to bring grassroot esports teams and other companies together to raise money and awareness for UK-based video game mental health charity Safe In Our World.

There’s a £5 minimum entry fee which all goes towards the charity.

The 2023 CTRL Christmas Charity Valorant Tournament will be hosted on December 8th, 16th and 17th 2023 as a 5v5 Valorant tournament. It follows the debut event that took place this time last year.

The tournament – sponsored by esports and gaming career platform Hivefolio and consultancy NTEsports – will be streamed live on the CTRL Esports Twitch channel.

CTRL COO George Lewin told Esports News UK: “We have been lucky enough to partner with the amazing team over at Next in Line Esports to bring as much awareness to the event as possible and provide some additional staffing support to help run the event.

“On top of that, they have a fantastic community to help boost the tournament and get some money raised for an amazing course.

“We have also been incredibly lucky to be sponsored by NTesports and Hivefolio for this event. Not only do both of these companies provide fantastic services in esports, they are willing to help out teams such as ourselves promote an amazing cause and support the ever growing grassroot scene within the UK.”

Whaleofdoom, NiL COO, also commented on the CTRL Christmas Charity Valorant Tournament, saying:

“We are delighted to be involved with this amazing cause. Thanks to CTRL for letting us help, bringing two strong Valorant communities together to do good.”

“This will not be the last time us two organisations will work together – and I am looking forward to what the future brings. Also, thank you to all the admin staff of the event and members from CTRL and NiL for working hard and being fantastic over the setup period. Really looking forward to the event.”

Teams set to take part include those from Coventry Crosshairs, Swans Esports, Vexed, Paragon (who recently held the PRG Gauntlet) and more.

Those looking to participate can contact CTRL Esports on Twitter. They must be from the Northern EU region to take part.
