More details on the World Series of Warzone London Event

A World Series of Warzone London Event will be heading to the UK capital, London, in September 2023 presented by Prime Gaming.

The Call of Duty (CoD) World Series of Warzone Global Final will take place on September 16th.

According to the World Series of Warzone website about page, “the WSOW Global Final will be held live and in-person in London at the Copper Box Arena on September 16th!

“The top 50 trios in the world will battle it out in a custom lobby six-map series with WSOW scoring. The best Warzone trio in the world will be crowned, with a total of $500,000 in prizing on the line.”

Copper Box Arena is managed by GLL, a charitable social enterprise and worker-owned cooperative, operating under the community-brand, Better.

The UK World Series of Warzone Event announcement was made on the official Call of Duty social media accounts, and follows a recent report by Dexerto’s Jacob Hale.

It’s the first big CoD event in London for some time. Back in 2020, just before the pandemic, the London Royal Ravens held some home matches at the Copperbox Arena.

The Copperbox venue in East London has been home to many an esports event in recent years, including Rocket League RLCS finals, Clash Royale championships, Apex Legends ALGS Split 1 Playoffs in London earlier this year, the recent League of Legends MSI 2023 and more.

Stuart Hutchison, General Manager at Copper Box Arena, said: “We’re immensely proud to be part of the emergence of esports. Copper Box Arena is rapidly becoming the home of esports in the UK after hosting huge tournaments such as League of Legends and Apex Legends already this year. We are now excited to be bringing yet another high-profile game to life in Call of Duty Warzone.”
