UK esports organisation Guild Esports have announced the new Guild Valorant roster for the women’s VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Series 2.
The all-French roster will be taking part in the latest women’s tournament, which gets underway in a few days.
Guild said in an email announcement: “We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new all-female Valorant team. Hailing from France, let’s give a warm welcome to Sliicyy, Cla, Kim, Xaline, and sia!
“Get ready to join the new line-up as they gear up for VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Series 2, commencing on Monday July 3rd.
“As we begin this exciting journey, we’d like to show some love to Guild X, and thank them for their incredible moments. We wish them the best of luck in their new endeavours.
“Stay tuned for more updates as our roster makes new waves in Valorant esports.”
The players have a mix of experience on other teams, including the likes of Tenstar Nova, Rix.GG Lightning, CBA, Rebels Velvet, Alliance.Coven and more.
Kim also previously played with Guild X, back when Guild first signed their women’s Valorant team a couple of years ago.
Guild thanked their outgoing players, with Ness and Smurfette joining FUT Female, speedowka heading to Acend Rising, Karina joining Focus Sakura and aNNja is currently exploring options.
Guild have had some success in women’s Valorant, with Guild X beating G2 Gozen to win VCT Game Changers 2022 EMEA Series 3 last October, and now they have their sights set on VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Series 2.
The organisation opted to focus on women’s Valorant after missing out on the major Valorant International Leagues last year.
The news also comes a month after Guild launched their ‘No Room for Abuse’ campaign with Sky UK, as a survey found that half of female gamers have been harassed when playing.
