The UK qualifier for Red Bull Contested is over, and ten Fortnite players from the UK and Ireland have progressed to play in the LAN in Edinburgh.
Red Bull Contested qualifier sign-ups recently opened, with the UK qualifier taking place on May 20th.
The ten players that progressed from here include the following:
- BowTheG
- Braxle
- Cheezy
- Cheqzie
- Ehsan
- Mona
- Rabid
- Tygls
- Vortexia
- xzy
All 10 of these players are from the UK and Ireland, according to the Red Bull Contested Liquipedia page.
However, Red Bull said that the other qualifier, the EU qualifier, experienced ‘significant disruption’ and that because of this, results were void and the 10 EU qualifier places would be invite-only instead.
The qualified Fortnite players join other pro gamers already announced to be taking part in the initial Fortnite UK LAN announcement, including the likes of UK talent Veno, Wolfiez, Pinq and Nebs, Norway’s MrSavage and more.

Red Bull Contested features a different format, where, for the final four rounds, eliminations will be worth double points, forcing players to adopt new aggressive strategies to stay in the hunt for the crown, while also incentivising the lower-ranked players to play more aggressively.
Wolfiez said: “This is a great opportunity for newcomers to get into the competitive scene. It’s going to be different, but I think it’s a good thing.”
Red Bull has just announced more Fortnite players in the Red Bull Contested line-up just now on Twitter, including Kami, Tundra Setty, Wave Marco, Edgey, Dig Duke, zAndy, EpikWhale and lots more.
