UK Smash Bros Ultimate player, Oliver ‘Bloom4Eva’ Alexander, has signed to French esports organisation BMS.

The move was announced this evening at French fighting game major Ultimate Fighting Arena 2022.

16-year-old Bloom4Eva is currently the number one ranked player in the UK for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, and is a rising star in the space, with Bloom4eva having won VCA 2022 last month.

Now he’s joined esports organisation BMS Esports. Hailing from the East of England, this will be the first time Bloom has represented a team since making his debut in Smash Ultimate back in December 2019.

BMS announced the signing of Bloom4eva in a social media post on Twitter:

Esports News UK understands Bloom4eva was also linked with at least one UK esports organisation.

BMS Esports was founded in 2020 by Joel Digbeu and Alex Cao, according to the org’s LinkedIn profile, with the aim of supporting and developing the younger talent within esports. They mainly focus on fighting games including Dragon Ball FighterZ, Street Fighter and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, as well as FIFA players.

The Paris-based team, who also use the tag ‘Black Mafia’, also have a number of other Smash Ultimate players signed including Arda ‘Raflow’ Imrek, Rayane ‘Ogey’ Noubli and Jean-Paul ‘Neeroz’ Nagbo, all from France.

On top of their strong Smash Ultimate roster, they have also signed the tenth-ranked player worldwide for Dragon Ball FighterZ, Marwan ‘Wawa’ Berthe, as well as top Street Fighter player Nathan ‘Mister Crimson’ Massol.

Bloom4eva will be representing BMS Esports for the first time this weekend at Ultimate Fighting Arena 2022 in Paris. It’s a fighting game community (FGC) major event that includes Smash Ultimate, Street Fighter, Tekken, Guilty Gear, Dragon Ball FighterZ and many more.

A number of other UK talent are also present across all games, in terms of those competing and commentating at the event.

There’s the likes of UK esports org Reason Gaming, with Street Fighter players MetalQueerSolid, Shivs and more, as well as Rize Gaming’s Dabby, NeonKay64 and more in Tekken 7, to name a few.
