UK esports organisation Coalesce have told Esports News UK about their ambitions with their newly announced CSGO roster for 2022.

Coalesce announced the new roster a few days ago, which includes three Swedish players – Robiin (who has played for Endpoint in the past, Mann3n (who joins from NiP’s academy team) and Jackinho (who was most recently with Fnatic).

The roster also features Spanish player Sausol, who joins from Mad Lions, and UK player Thomas, who has signed from Endpoint. They are led by Serbian coach FeedMe.

Coalesce – who formed last year after six UK esports orgs merged – described the new CSGO roster as ‘ridiculously strong’ to Esports News UK.

The news comes after Coalesce’s former roster departed the organisation.

Coalesce director of esports Samuel Hollinrake told Esports News UK: “The ambitions with this [new] roster are clear – we believe the team can compete with the best. These things take time and we understand that. I think reaching top 30 would be our first main goal, it’s always been the same for us. One step at a time.

“When we initially spoke to Thomas, we told him our goals and also how we’d like to achieve them. I think having FeedMe as our coach helped a lot, he’s one of the best I’ve worked with and seen; we’ve worked together to hand pick these players.

“Thomas was a crucial part – I think it made sense for both parties. His experience is invaluable and it’s something we’ll utilise within the team.”

He continued: “Losing the last time was tough for everyone, but it was the correct decision for both sides, we’ve brought in our new wonderful sponsors in Shibnobi and Ebuyer to help support us and our teams over a longer period of time. It’s great to have such established companies on board, and of course Gameraid continue to support us throughout the year also.

“Finally, I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone within the organisation from top to bottom for working so hard to complete these deals. It hasn’t been easy but together we have made it happen – and that’s the beauty of Coalesce.”

Coalesce previously told Esports News UK they want to reach top 100 in the HLTV rankings and take the UK & Ireland ESL Premiership title from Endpoint.

Coalesce to compete in new Ace X 2022 CSGO circuit

Ace X, the nicotine pouch brand from Denmark, sent a press release to Esports News UK on its new CSGO tournament circuit, which Coalesce will be competing in.

The Ace X 2022 Circuit in collaboration with Challengermode consists of four online tournaments known as Tour Stops, each containing an open qualifier stage and a broadcasted playoffs stage (the Tour Stops Playoffs). Teams who progress from the latter will reach the Circuit Finals (Ace X Masters) taking place in December 2022.

Their first tour stop this year is the Ace X Vienna Open 2022, with others including Prague, Baltics and Stockholm. It’s a CSGO tournament for upcoming professionals intended to act as a stepping stone to the higher echelons of the scene. Several hundred teams fight to get a spot in the Tour Stop Playoffs finals.

Tour Stop finalists play for a prize pool of €7,500, and for one of four spots in the grand finale, the Ace X Masters. The overall winning Ace X Masters team will take the lion’s share of the €10,000 circuit finale prize pool.

Last year, Ace X hosted the Ace X Icelandic Open and Ace X Stockholm Open.

“At Ace X Stockholm Open 2021 I had the chance to meet Young Ninjas and Lilmix. It was inspiring to meet these passionate teams,” said Ace X online marketing manager Nicas Korsholm.

“Being able to provide opportunities to upcoming professional gamers is a great feeling and it gives us purpose. Therefore, we have decided to host a total of five big tournaments in 2022 in collaboration with Challengermode.”
