UK esports organisation The Goose House have announced Birds of Prey: Episode Three, their latest Valorant tournament for women and marginalised gender players in Europe.
The event will take place on Tuesday March 15th and Wednesday March 16th 2022 from 5pm GMT and is open to teams from Europe and the UK.
32 teams will compete in a best-of-three series for the £2,000 prize pool.
The entire event is being funded by Red Bull.
Commentary for the event will be provided by Vicki ‘Gottmoxi’ Johnson and Samantha ‘NaoriMizuki’ Timms live on The Goose House’s Twitch channel.
Dan Ellis, CEO at The Goose House, said: “I’m delighted to be able to continue the Birds of Prey series for the female and marginalised gender Valorant scene. So much talent has come out of these tournaments, and we’re excited to bring even more opportunities to grassroots esports. Thank you to Red Bull UK for making this possible.”
The Goose House announced its first Birds of Prey tournament for female and marginalised gender players in summer 2021. This was won by Project X, who went on to sign with Guild Esports to become Guild X, while the second Birds of Prey competition was won by Oxygen Esports in September 2021.
It also held a Beyond Valorant UK and Ireland One Day Open in August.
Riot Games also runs its own Valorant Game Changers tournament series in EMEA and NA.
Earlier this month, UK orgs Guild and Tenstar finished in the top three at Valorant Game Changers EMEA Series 1, as G2 Gozen cheekily celebrated first place by carrying rubbish bags with the Guild logo on them.
