Also, elsewhere, Epic.LAN has this week announced a partnership with UK esports organisation LDN UTD.

Epic.LAN will provide a dedicated instance of its popular tournament platform, allowing LDN UTD to host its own series of in-house community activities throughout the year within its digital economy platform.

Debuting recently at LDN UTD’s Winter Warmup at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London, where 90 people participated, the partnership means that LDN UTD can host tournaments for a range of popular game titles for their community, within their own custom branded platform.

Jon Winkle, Epic.LAN’s MD said: “Epic.LAN’s roots are in community esports activities in the UK, so it’s great to be supporting LDN UTD grow their community activities with our technology behind the scenes. We look forward to seeing what the LDN team has planned over the coming months and working with them to raise the profile of community esports in the UK.”

Oliver Weingarten, founder/CEO of LDN UTD added: “It has always been important to align with robust technology partners for our digital economy platform, and for hosting community tournaments, and scouting talent, we are pleased to collaborate once again with Epic.LAN. We look forward to announcing our schedule of tournament events in due course.“
