esports awards 2020

The last few Esports Awards 2020 finalists have been announced, and there’s a host of UK esports talent among them.

This year’s Esports Awards will take place virtually on Saturday November 21st as part of the Esports Assemble in partnership with Esports Insider.

Tonight the finalists for this year’s pro and on-air category finalists were revealed. Among them are a host of UK talent including pro FIFA gamer Tekkz (Esports Console Player of the Year), Fortnite player Benjyfishy (PC Player of the Year), Vedius and HenryG (Esports Colour Caster of the Year), ODPixel (Esports Play By Play Caster of the Year) and more.

Esports Host of the Year finalists include Machine and Frankie Ward, while the NUEL are nominated in the Esports Collegiate Award.

UK-based Esports Insider and Dexerto are up for Esports Coverage Website of the Year, while Hitmarker Jobs has been nominated for Esports Support Agency of the Year.

Journalist of the Year includes UK nominees Adam Fitch and Richard Lewis (both recently joining Dexerto) and Duncan ‘Thorin’ Shields. And Katy Eyre has been nominated in the Esports Photographer of the Year category.

There’s a full of list of finalists at the bottom of this article.

The Esports Awards has also welcomed co-CEO of ESL Gaming, Craig ‘Torbull’ Levine, and esports veteran journalist Richard Lewis as the newest inductees for the Lifetime Achievement Award.

“I am so excited to announce that we are officially going digital. In such uncertain times it’s an honor to be able to create something that celebrates and recognises those who are going above and beyond in the esports industry,” said Esports Awards MD Michael Ashford.

The Esports Awards is part of the Esports Assemble, four days of events and insights from industry figures from November 18th to 21st, including ESI Digital Winter, Esports Awards Expo and the Esports Awards.
