Call of Duty XP tickets go on sale

Tickets for the Call of Duty XP event have gone on sale, with $1m in cash prizes available for its Xbox 360 pro gaming tournament.
32 teams of four will battle it out in deathmatch knockout rounds to take the $400,000 top prize. There’s space for 28 pre-qualifying teams and four on-site qualifying spots, with teams flown out by Activision to Los Angeles to compete.

Call of Duty XP runs on September 2nd and 3rd from 10am to 10pm each day. The exact location is yet to be announced, but one ticket will get you in for both days.
The event will also feature a real-life paintball shootout area based on the Scrapyard map, a Modern Warfare 2 Pit time trial training area, a restaurant based on the in-game Burger Town joints, real weapons to browse and a first look at the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer mode.
Other tournaments at Call of Duty XP include matches of Special Ops, King of the Hill, Zombies and more. Aside from the $1m prize fund, entrants can win prizes from Turtle Beach and Microsoft, and pick up a Call of Duty goody bag.
Tickets to Call of Duty XP cost $150 and are on sale now at the Call of Duty XP website. All proceeds go towards the Call of Duty Endowment – a non-profit organisation that helps real-life war veterans.
