Gentle Mates have etched their name in Rocket League history, defeating Team Vitality 4-2 in the RLCS Boston Major 2026 Grand Final at Boston’s Agganis Arena.

The French squad pocketed $102,000 and 30 circuit points from the $354,000 prize pool, surging to the top of Europe’s RLCS rankings.

Held from February 19-22, the 16-team event featured top talent from Europe, NA, and beyond, with Gentle Mates entering as Europe’s second seed after dominating regional Opens.

RLCS Boston Major 2026 Tournament Format and Results

The double-elimination playoffs kicked off with Gentle Mates topping Group D undefeated (3-0). They advanced through upper bracket wins over NRG (4-3) and Falcons (4-3), while Vitality bested Falcons and NRG en route to the final.

NRG and Falcons took 3rd-4th ($36k each), Karmine Corp and Shopify Rebellion 5th-6th ($22.5k).

Gentle Mates Path to RLCS Victory

Archie, nass, and Oski—coached by Snaski—were relentless. Their 4-3 quarterfinal thriller vs. reigning world champs NRG set the tone, followed by a Game 7 semifinal nail-biter against Falcons, where Oski’s pancake and nass’s winner sealed it.

Grand Final Breakdown: Gentle Mates vs Team Vitality

GM struck first: 3-1 on Mannfield, 3-1 on Forbidden Temple (nass with six goals). Vitality rallied, blanking GM 1-0 (DFH) and 2-0 (Utopia).

Archie hat-tricked for a 5-1 Parc de Paris win, then Oski’s clutch goal clinched 6-2 on Neo Tokyo.

Nass’s 12 goals smashed the LAN Grand Final record, earning MVP honors.
