BFBS Pro League Grand Final heads to RAF Museum London

The BFBS Pro League Grand Final will take place at the Royal Air Force Museum, London, on 27 September 2026.

Organised by the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS), the Pro League is an esports competition for the UK Armed Forces community. Eligible participants include serving personnel, veterans, reservists, MOD civil servants, UK cadet forces, and members of the bereaved community and their immediate family members.

The event follows the competition’s first season, which BFBS said attracted more than 700 players. Season Two has expanded the game line-up with F1 25 and League of Legends joining Rocket League.

BFBS Pro League Grand Final event details

BFBS has described the September event as its biggest Pro League event to date, with the Royal Air Force Museum hosting the competition alongside a wider programme of gaming and military community activities.

The Rocket League Grand Final itself will be a private event for invited guests and accredited media, but general museum visitors will be able to access several parts of the wider programme.

Activities are set to include:

• BFBS esports activities
• Grand Final coverage in the RAF Theatre
• HADO augmented reality esports experiences
• Simulators and gaming experiences with RAF Air Cadets
• Royal Navy STEM activities
• Live performances from the British Army Rifles Band and cadet bands

General admission to the Royal Air Force Museum is free, although the museum recommends booking an entry slot in advance.

BFBS looks to grow Armed Forces esports

BFBS CEO Ben Chapman said the competition was designed to bring members of the Armed Forces community together through esports: “The BFBS Pro League continues to demonstrate the power of esports to bring together the UK Armed Forces community in new and innovative ways.”

Adam Waters, BFBS Director of AI Culture and Gaming, commented that the second season had achieved what it set out to do, with substantial growth in esports activity within the UK Armed Forces community: “This year we’ve grown our league with more titles, more opportunities to compete, and have even bigger ambitions for the future.”

BFBS Head of Esports Robert Wylie pointed to the launch of the Open Series as part of the organisation’s plans to expand its competitive gaming offering: “The Pro League is the flagship competition within BFBS Esports, and bringing it back for a second season is hugely exciting. As well as adding two massively popular titles, we want to make sure the esports ecosystem continues to grow, which is why we’re launching the Open Series this year.”

When is the BFBS Pro League Grand Final?

Here’s when events are taking place (provisionally) on 27 September:

• Doors open: 10am
• Semi-finals: 3pm
• Grand Final: 5pm
• Location: Royal Air Force Museum, London
