Team Heretics signs Project Zero, marking the organisation’s long-awaited return to Rainbow Six esports
Project Zero is a multi-European Rainbow Six roster. They qualified for the Paris Six Invitational 2026 through the event’s Last Chance Qualifier. The roster includes two British players and a Scottish coach, alongside a Portuguese player and a Polish Captain.
On January 28th, less than a week before the event’s Group Stage is due to start, Team Heretics announced that they had signed the roster to compete under their organisation.
Team Heretics has not fielded a Rainbow Six esports roster since November 2020, when they parted ways with their Spanish roster. This six-year absence left many wondering if the organisation would ever return to the esports title.
Meanwhile, Project Zero has been seeking an organisation to represent since competing in the Rainbow Six esports Tier Two circuit.
After finishing second in the T2 Grand Finals Europe in December 2025, the unsigned team advanced to the Six Invitational 2026 Europe and MENA Qualifier 1, eventually officially securing their place in the Six Invitational after winning the Six Invitational 2026 Europe and MENA LCQ.
Which teams are competing in the 2026 Six Invitational?
There is a total of 20 teams competing in the Six Invitational Group Stage, including Team Heretics’ new roster pickup.
The Six Invitational Groups are as follows:

In the Group Stage, these teams will compete in a Round Robin best-of-three format. Teams that place first in their respective Group will advance to the Playoffs’ Upper Bracket Round 2.
Meanwhile, teams that place second or third in their Groups begin the Playoffs in Upper Bracket Round 1. Fourth-placed teams from each Group must compete in the Playoffs’ Lower Bracket.
The fifth-placed teams in each Group are eliminated before the Playoffs begin.
For Team Heretics to make it to the Adidas Arena, they must make it to the final six in the Playoffs Bracket.
