UPDATE (December 4th): Fnatic Rising has confirmed the arrival of Febiven, along with several other players.

Fnatic also confirmed that Dan, MagiFelix and xMatty are leaving the org. Dan has joined Excel.

Original article (published November 27th):

It’s looking incredibly likely that experienced League of Legends mid-laner Fabian ‘Febiven’ Diepstraten will be rejoining Fnatic.

The Dutch player is set to sign with Fnatic’s academy team, Fnatic Rising, which plays in the NLC featuring UK, Ireland and Nordics teams.

Esportmaníacos first reported the news and Febiven has all but confirmed it, with his tweet mirroring both Fnatic’s Twitter account and Upset, Fnatic’s new LEC ADC replacing Rekkles (who left for G2).

Earlier this month Febiven announced in a Twitlonger post that he was unable to find a spot in the LCS or LEC for next season. But it looks like he’ll instead be playing in a European Regional League (ERL) for now, with Fnatic Rising.

He’s rumoured to be joined by support player Rhuckz.

Fnatic Rising mid-laner MagiFelix and support player Bravado are exploring options, as is Rising coach NicoThePico.

Expect more changes to be announced soon. There are several rumours flying around, with Rising jungler Dan linked with a move away to Excel Esports and ADC xMatty to Karmine Corp.

The news comes as the Fnatic Rising roster is set to relocate to Berlin, so that the whole Fnatic League of Legends department will be together in the same place:

Fnatic also announced some new coaching staff, with Yamato ‘YamatoCannon’ Mebdi as head coach and Gary ‘Tolki’ Mialaret as his assistant. Former head coach Mithy seems to have bid Fnatic farewell on Twitter too.

And on the LEC team, aside from Upset replacing Rekkles, Nisqy has replaced Nemesis in the mid lane, who left Fnatic by mutual consent.

These changes complete Fnatic’s LEC first team line-up.

Fnatic Rising won the first NLC finals back in August and their LEC side reached the Worlds 2020 quarter finals in October.
