Danish League of Legends caster Mikkel ‘Guldborg’ Guldborg Nielsen has waved goodbye to the Northern Europe LoL scene this evening.
It was his final day on the NLC desk, as he looks to the LEC and possibly other European Regional Leagues. Update: Guldborg has joined the LFL English broadcast.
Today is actually gonna be my last day at the @NLClol. This wasn't an easy decision, seeing as this have been the league I've been at for the longest time. But I need more time in my life currently. This doesn't mean I'm leaving the ERL space, I will have more updates coming

Guldborg has been making appearances in the higher-tier LEC, having been part of the LEC casting line-up for Summer 2021 and the 2022 LEC caster line-up. Prior to casting, he worked as a coach/manager. He also today appeared in this little sketch for the LEC Summer 2022 Season, which starts on Friday (June 17th 2022).
His friendly attitude and intelligent analysis has put him on the map and we at Esports News UK will miss his face on the broadcast each week.
He was also responsible for this self-‘defecating’ moment last year, which brought tears of laughter to the faces of Excoundrel and Foxdrop and showed his good sense of humour.
“I really appreciate every single comment and DM I ever received coming from people who liked me on an ERL scale. I really appreciate my time here on the NLC and thanks to all of you.”
Guldborg
Guldborg said at the end of tonight’s NLC broadcast: “I’ve been with this league since 2020, competed in it in 2019, I’m stepping down for the right reasons but it feels bad not coming back.
“I think for the Danish, Scandinavian and UK community coming into the split, it’s been heartwarming getting nice feedback. I really appreciate every single comment and DM I ever received coming from people who liked me on an ERL scale. I really appreciate my time here on the NLC and thanks to all of you.”
The NLC casters also gave Guldborg a big hug to end the show.
Elsewhere, British esports host Alan ‘Bricetacular’ Brice was on board as a guest host for the NLC tonight, with usual host Archarom away.
And fellow caster Jamada also said he likely won’t be making another NLC appearance until towards the end of the split.
We’ll end with some farewell comments to Guldborg from people in the scene:
