Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes headlines VCT Champions 2026 anthem, alongside Spiritbox and Grabbitz

Oli Sykes from metalcore giants, Bring Me The Horizon is making his debut in the Riot Games music universe. Oli features as part of the official VCT Champions 2026 anthem, alongside Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante and producer Grabbitz.

The track, titled “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight,” was written and produced by Grabbitz. It will release globally on all major streaming platforms this autumn ahead of the VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026 Finals.

Oli Sykes leads new Riot Games single for Valorant

Sykes is one of the most recognisable figures in British metalcore, with Bring Me The Horizon arguably the biggest modern band. His involvement marks the first time interacting with both Riot and VALORANT. It’s nice to know those times getting drunk in Pixel Bar, watching esports, and listing to pop punk paid off.

Courtney LaPlante follows on from her previous collaboration with 2XKO, Riot’s fighting game title. Grabbitz, who produced the track, described the result as the best VALORANT anthem to date, noting that the three artists came from different corners of the globe and landed on something that sits between his electronic production world and the heavier landscapes of both BMTH and Spiritbox.

For Grabbitz it’s his fourth collaborations within Valorant. His previous three collaborations include the 2021 hit “Die for You”, the 2022 anthem “Fire Again” performed by Ashnikko, and 2023’s “Ticking Away” with bbno$. These tracks have collectively amassed 350M+ streams worldwide. 

Speaking about the collaboration, LaPlante added: “I cannot wait to release this song! Oli has given me the opportunity to perform live with BMTH many times over the years, and we’re finally debuting something we worked on together. Grabbitz produced such a great atmosphere and a song tailored to all three of our voices, and Oli went in right away and made it a true collaboration.”.

Oli Sykes said: “I’ve always been drawn to projects that blur the lines between storytelling and music, so working with Riot Games, alongside Grabbitz and Courtney, and becoming part of the VALORANT World felt like a really natural fit.“

The VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026 Finals run from September 24th to October 18th, bringing together the world’s top 16 teams to compete for the championship.

It’s not the first major rock collaboration. Riot Games teamed up with the reformed Linkin Park, Against The Current, and even Imagine Dragons in the last decade. Lil Nas X even appeared for completely different genre crossovers.
