BDD beats Faker, Chovy & Gumayusi to LCK Player of the Year

Gwak ‘Bdd’ Bo-seong won the LCK Player of the Year Award, in a shock victory that saw him beat Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok, Jeong ‘Chovy’ Ji-hoon, and Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyung to the prize.

Bdd secured the victory after a remarkable year, which culminated in KT Rolster’s memorable Worlds run, where they finished runners-up following a scintillating Grand Final contest against T1.

The victory meant the KT Rolster midlaner took home the top prize of the LCK Awards 2025, which also saw Faker, Gumayusi, Chovy, Kim ‘Kiin’ Ki-in, and Ryu ‘Keria’ Min-seok take home significant honours.

Unusually, Bdd won Player of the Year despite Chovy winning Mid of the Year, drawing question marks from the community. However, many have pointed out that Chovy and Bdd both had standout years, ultimately justifying their respective rewards.
