Locke the Ashen Exorcist is League of Legends’ newest champion, arriving in patch 26.13

Riot Games has revealed Locke, the Ashen Exorcist, as the next new League of Legends champion, set to arrive in patch 26.13.

Corvin Locke is a nail-slinging exorcist from Demacia, the progeny of occultists who raised him on lies and hypocrisy. His core belief, shaped by that upbringing, is that demons are not the cause of humanity’s darkness but the consequence of it. Armed with forbidden rites and a ruthless worldview, he tears through souls to expose what is hidden, one exorcism at a time.

The champion comes after Riot teased a new champ was on the way this split after the Shyvana rework went live, with another champion getting remade later in the year. 

Locke’s abilities

Below are Locke’s abilities that Riot tease so far. We do not yet know the scalings on them, so we can’t really tell what builds or combos you can run. You’ll need to wait fro the PTR for that.

• Passive: Silver Stake Locke’s attacks pin enemies’ souls on hit, dealing bonus magic damage scaled off the target’s missing health.
• Q: Ritual Nails Locke throws a set of Soul Nails forward, dealing magic damage and marking enemies hit. The nails apply a slow that grows with stacks, and attacking a marked enemy consumes the nails to deal additional magic damage per stack. Any unspent nails restore a portion of his cooldown and mana.
• W: Soul Ignition Locke releases his own seals to gain decaying movement speed. While active, he suffers percentage health true damage per second but heals back a portion of damage taken plus a bonus amount based on missing health and time elapsed. The effect can be recast to end early.
• E: Ashen Pursuit Locke blinks to a target location, dealing magic damage around him on arrival. His next attack then dashes to his target, dealing magic damage to all enemies in his path and consuming Soul Nails on each hit. The cooldown resets on takedown.
• R: Purgatory Locke kicks a binding artifact to a location, where it opens on arrival and shoots chained Soul Nails at nearby enemies, dealing magic damage and applying a slow. Marked champions brought below a health threshold are pulled inside and executed. Executing a champion resets the binding duration on other affected champions. After a few seconds the artifact seals itself and remains on the ground if a champion was sealed inside. If Locke picks it up, he permanently increases his execution threshold and refunds a portion of his current cooldown for each champion sealed.
