G2 Esports confirm they’ve retained their LoL roster for LEC 2026

G2 Esports have confirmed they are keeping their entire League of Legends (LoL) roster and coaching staff for LEC 2026.

G2 reached the LoL World Championship Quarterfinals by defeating FlyQuest after the roster won the LEC 2025 Summer Split.

This was the first time that an LEC team made the top eight at Worlds since MAD Lions back in 2021.

Sheep Esports reported that the players and staff are returning for next season, to which G2 responded, “[CONFIRMED] We’re running it back.”

This means the G2 roster for LEC 2026 will be:

  • Top lane – Sergen ‘BrokenBlade’ Çelik
  • Jungle – Rudy ‘SkewMond’ Semaan
  • Mid lane – Rasmus ‘Caps’ Winther
  • Bot lane – Steven ‘Hans Sama’ Liv
  • Support – Labros ‘Labrov’ Papoutsakis

Earlier this year, EMEA’s most decorated player, Caps, signed a contract extension which will keep him with G2 until the end of 2027.

The Danish pro has a Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) trophy as well as 15 LEC titles and two Worlds final appearances to his name.

Meanwhile, the other four pros are all contracted with G2 until November 16th, 2026.

According to Sheep Esports, highly-rated jungler Kacper ‘Inspired’ Słoma enquired about joining after leaving FlyQuest.

However, G2 chose to stick with Skewmond, who had an impressive rookie year outside of some inconsistent performances.

Dylan Falco will also remain the head coach and Rodrigo Domingues Oliveira will stay as head analyst in the duo’s fifth year with the organisation.

Former LEC pro Jonas ‘Memento’ Elmarghichi will remain as assistant coach, Ismael ‘Isma’ Pedraza is still the performance coach, and Romain Bigeard will remain as G2’s general manager.

Similarly, Movistar KOI are also keeping the same roster for the 2026 LEC season, as revealed by co-owner Ibai Llanos.

MKOI will maintain the line-up which won LEC Spring 2025 and was eliminated from Worlds by eventual winners T1.

LEC Versus offseason roster rumours

Many LEC teams are now finishing their line-ups ahead of the new LEC Versus tournament.

This will replace the Winter Split and invite Los Ratones and Karmine Corp Blue to join the 10 LEC teams.

Jakob ‘YamatoCannon’ Mebdi will be the Los Ratones head coach for LEC Versus, with streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont stepping back into an assisting role.

Meanwhile, the big talking point this offseason is Karmine Corp (primary) and their signing of American support Alan ‘Busio’ Cwalina.

The highly sought-after pro becomes the second North American to join the LEC after MKOI signed Joseph Joon ‘Jojopyun’ Pyun.

Busio’s Polish heritage means he doesn’t take up an import slot, allowing KCorp to also reportedly sign Korean midlaner Kang ‘kyeahoo’ Ye-hoo.
