Voice actors from the likes of the Uncharted video games, the original Pokémon anime series and Avatar the Last Airbender will head to MCM Comic Con x EGX this year, as well as the Natural Six cast.
Most will be offering meet and greets and autographs and photo opportunities.
Running as two separate events in the past, organisers ReedPop is now co-locating MCM Comic Con and EGX together for the first time this year at ExCel London.
It will take place from Friday October 25th to Sunday October 27th 2024.
Pokémon anime voice actors at MCM Comic Con x EGX
Sarah Natochenny, Erica Schroeder and Lisa Ortiz will appear from the TV show, which has been running since 1997 with 26 seasons and more than 1,200 episodes.
They will be signing autographs, meeting fans and offering photo opportunities.
Sarah Natochenny’s voice is recognisable as the series’ main character Ash Ketchum, a role which she took over in 2006.
She has also voiced over 70 other characters in the show, and has appeared in other franchises like Yu-Gi-Oh, Ghostbusters and Grand Theft Auto.
Another Pokémon voice actor at MCM Comic Con x EGX will be Erica Schroeder, sometimes known as stage name Bella Hudson, who has lent her voice to numerous characters throughout the show, including Nurse Joy, Kenny, Bianca and countless Pokémon.
She has voiced more than 250 characters across TV, movies and video games since beginning her career in 2002.
Finally, one of Pokémon’s original voice actors, Lisa Ortiz, who has worked on the series since its first season, will attend.
Lisa originally voiced Pokémon such as Ash’s Oshawott, Larvatar and Totodile, before taking over as the English dub’s primary voice director in 2019.
Natural Six cast mark anniversary of debut with return to MCM Comic Con x EGX
The Dungeons & Dragons group consisting of voice talent and industry personalities, Natural Six, are joining the line-up for MCM Comic Con and EGX on October 25th and 26th.
Natural Six is a UK-based actual play video series featuring the video game performers and personalities Harry McEntire, Ben Starr, Hollie Bennett, Alex Jordan, Doug Cockle and Aoife Wilson.
Ahead of announcing their Kickstarter, the group played a session live at EGX in 2023, giving attendees a flavour of the stories to come. Since then, the group has shared ten episodes on their YouTube channel which has over 850,000 views in less than one year.
Now in 2024, one year on from their debut to a live audience, they will return with a Dungeons & Dragons live show on Friday October 25th at 4.30pm. This live play session will feature a standalone adventure. There is also a chance to meet the cast on Saturday October 26th, included in the price of a ticket.
Meet and greets are available on Saturday October 26th, with Doug Cockle and Harry McEntire from 11am – 12:30pm, and the full cast of Natural Six from 4:45pm – 6pm. This final session will include a free group signing session, as well as giving attendees the opportunity to purchase Natural Six merchandise that were designed especially for EGX x MCM Comic Con.
Nolan North and co from Uncharted series set for MCM panel in October 2024
The cast of the award-winning Uncharted game series will be crash landing at ExCeL London for MCM Comic Con and EGX in October.
Fans of the series will be able to meet Nolan North, voice of Nathan Drake, Emily Rose, voice of Elena Fisher, and Richard McGonagle, voice of Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan.
The trio will be appearing across all three days of the convention, with a panel taking place on Friday 25th October at 3.10pm on the Centre Stage. This panel is included in tickets purchased for MCM Comic Con and EGX.
Attendees will also be able to purchase autographs and photo opportunities with Nolan, Emily and Richard.
Avatar the Last Airbender cast announced for MCM Comic Con x EGX
The cast of Avatar The Last Airbender will also be attending MCM Comic Con x EGX.
Fans of the series will be able to meet Zach Eisen, the voice of Aang, Jack De Sena, who voices Sokka, and Michaela Jill Murphy aka Jessie Flower, the voice of Toph Beifong.
The trio will be on a panel at MCM Comic Con x EGX, delving into their experiences working together on the series, as well as their inspirations and methods for voice acting. All panels are free to attend for ticket holders.
In addition to the panel, MCM Comic Con x EGX attendees will also be able to purchase autographs and photo opportunities with Zach, Jack and Michaela throughout the weekend.
