Belong Gaming Arenas have announced that Mortal Kombat II and Rocket League communities are joining Overwatch, League of Legends and FIFA 19 as part of this year’s Summer Arena Clash.
Players from all over the country can take part in the tournaments for the chance to win hardware, merchandise and more.
The Summer Arena Clash will be fought overall several weeks between Belong’s growing regional gaming tribes (like Stratford Spartans, Manchester Swarm and so on).
It will reach its peak with the finals playing out at Insomnia65 during the August bank holiday at the NEC Birmingham.
Players will compete in front of a live audience and experience playing on stage, with the winning tribe walking away with hundreds of pounds of reward points, hardware, peripherals and merchandise plus the coveted 2019 championship.
Qualifiers get underway during the week beginning May 27th.
To join your local tribe, visit this website and represent your region to face off against other arenas.
You can check out who won in the recent Arena Clash finals at Insomnia64 here.
Past Belong Arena tournaments have included Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty and more.
Retailer GAME opened its first few competitive gaming-themed Belong Arena stores in late 2016 and has opened many more since.
GAME bought Multiplay – the company behind Insomnia – for £20m back in 2015. GAME later sold the Multiplay Digital hosting division to game dev engine provider Unity, but retained its esports/events activities and infrastructure.
GAME last year named Player 1 Events as the event organisers behind the Insomnia Gaming Festival.
