17-year-old British pro Vainglory player Alessandro “Palmatoro” Palmarini is taking part in the Vainglory Spring Unified Championship in London later this week.
The Fnatic player from Scotland may be young – but he has some serious ambitions.
Speaking to Esports News UK ahead of the championship – which runs between May 19th and 21st – he said: “My ambition for now is simply just to become the best possible player I can be and helping to build the synergy and structure in our team to eventually become the best team in the world.”
Palmatoro also shared his thoughts on the UK Vainglory scene.
“I’m more focused on Vainglory as opposed to the esports scene in general, but there seems to be a lot more homegrown talent for Vainglory in terms of players and casters which is great,” he commented.

“I want to help to build the synergy and structure in our team to eventually become the best team in the world.”

“And we’re doing more and more with the community in the UK. We just had a community event at the Fnatic Bunkr so people can meet up and play together.
“I’m not sure if you see the same for other games but it would be great to see more people getting involved with esports in general. The majority of people wouldn’t know that esports exists or how to get involved. I certainly didn’t until Vainglory. I
“It would be great to change that and to see more opportunities to get together and play whichever game they’re interested in.”
You can watch Palmatoro and Fnatic in action at the Vainglory Spring Season Championships from May 19th to 21st. Check out the stream at twitch.tv/vainglory.
